Kelly Clarkson

First off, I want to say that this was definitely a dream come true for me. I won the open mic app for the Hammerstein Ballroom in NY on 10/06. It was the best day of my life, AMAZING. Kelly's band was insanely nice, and Jason (Kelly's music director) really helped me calm my nerves. I didn't think Kelly was actually going to be there, because I was told it was just her band. So I go up on stage, and out comes Kelly! The first time I sang 'Already Gone', I just closed my eyes for the whole time. But when we did it a second time, I was a lot more comfortable and had a good time with it. Kelly had her eyes glued to me the entire time and watched my performance. It was sooo much fun. After I sang, Kelly came up to me and told me she thought I was really good, and we also just talked about random stuff. I've met her before so I already knew how down to earth she is, so it was really easy to talk to her. Then I got to watch her soundcheck which was really amazing. The meet n' greet was short, but Kelly was incredibly nice once again, and she complimented me some more. She's the sweetest thing. I had the greatest time! It's definitely something I'll remember for the rest of my life! :)
